Iron-deficiency anaemia is most likely given ferritin of 6 ng/mL. Other considerations: chronic disease, hypothyroidism (TSH 2.4 is normal here), or occult GI blood loss. I'd recommend starting oral iron and revisiting in 8 weeks with repeat CBC.

Current meds include lisinopril and metformin. No contraindications with ferrous sulfate. Advise taking iron 2 hours apart from metformin for optimal absorption.
