Multi-state telehealth infrastructure for a hormone therapy practice
A custom telehealth platform built for a hormone therapy practice operating across multiple states — patient intake, lab ordering integration, DEA-aware prescription workflows, and a secure patient portal for lab result delivery.
December 2025
The challenge
The practice had outgrown a generic telehealth tool and needed a platform that could handle their specific care model: self-qualification intake, automated lab ordering through a partner lab network, provider assignment by state of practice, DEA-compliant prescribing workflows, and secure delivery of lab results and protocol adjustments.
What we built
We built a custom telehealth platform scoped entirely to the HRT care model — intake with self-qualification scoring, automated lab requisition generation to the partner lab, provider routing by state licensure, an authenticated patient portal for result delivery, and a HIPAA-compliant messaging layer for protocol adjustments. DEA credential verification is built into the prescribing flow.
Outcomes
Patient intake-to-consultation flow operates without manual staff touchpoints for qualifying patients. Lab result delivery and protocol communications are handled through the authenticated portal — no PHI in email. The platform handles multi-state provider routing automatically based on patient location.
